About The Electoral Hub

Our History

A commitment to stronger electoral processes, better information and more credible elections in Nigeria.

2019The year The Electoral Hub was established

Our Story

The Electoral Hub, an affiliate of the Initiative for Research, Innovation and Advocacy in Development (IRIAD), was established in 2019. It is conceptualised to complement the roles and activities of the different institutions, stakeholders and drivers of the electoral process and governance by providing back-end support services to stakeholders and institutions involved in the electoral process.

This is in recognition of the lack of adequate data and resources on elections in Nigeria. The Electoral Hub was founded to help fill this gap through research, impact advocacy and targeted training, all aimed at improving the integrity and credibility of the electoral process.

Our Role

Making electoral knowledge easier to find and use

We bring research, civic knowledge and practical electoral resources together so that citizens, researchers and institutions can engage more meaningfully with democratic processes.

Knowledge that works

A clearer information environment

The Electoral Hub supports a better-informed electoral environment by bringing research, civic knowledge and relevant electoral resources together in one place.

For stakeholders and citizens alike

Its work is designed to help electoral stakeholders, researchers, citizens and institutions access useful information, engage with electoral issues and contribute to conversations about electoral integrity and democratic governance in Nigeria.
